We are recruiting for a Head of HR role to join a leading organisation in Nottingham.

The Head of HR is an integral part of the SLT and is responsible for the delivery of a high-quality, modern, effective, HR function.

The role leads to the provision of strategic HR direction for the organisation to support the delivery of high-quality services.

This HR team works with a range of internal and external stakeholders to support business/workforce planning including transformation, engagement, and workforce performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on various workforce projects taking full accountability for their delivery on time and within resources.
  • Lead the performance management of the HR team.
  • Oversee the direction and the development and delivery of a high-quality HR service.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation with the SLT
  • of service developments and delivery are highlighted.
  • Develop and operationalise the People & Culture strategy
  • Provide specialist advice on resourcing issues underpinned by theoretical knowledge and experience. Develop a strong resourcing plan.
  • Lead and manage key staff projects such as policy reviews
  • Provision of specialist knowledge to support the development and implementation of workforce change programs to enable the organisation to achieve its strategic goals.
  • Provide specialist and expert advice on all employee relation matters.
  • To provide professional leadership and line management to the HR team.
  • Provide professional advice and leadership to support transformational workforce change programs including the redesign of job roles, amending working arrangements, redeployment issues, and redundancy.

We are looking for an experienced Head of HR or someone who has worked in a senior role as a HR Manager or senior BP role.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • Specialist knowledge of a range of highly complex HR topics
  • including Learning & OD, Resourcing, Workforce Information,
  • EDI, development of workforce strategy and Employment
  • Relations and policy development
  • Knowledge of local policies and procedures.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law
  • Expert level of knowledge in strategic workforce issues, including legislation
