We are seeking a versatile Accounts Assistant to join our small office team. The ideal candidate will be an all-around accounts professional, comfortable with both Sales and Purchase Ledger tasks, and proficient in Sage 50. Experience with payroll is advantageous but not essential, as the role also encompasses general administration duties.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Managing the Sales Ledger, including invoicing and tracking payments.
  • Overseeing the Purchase Ledger, ensuring timely payment of invoices and reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Utilising Sage 50 for various accounting tasks.
  • Handling payroll functions, if experienced (this is a desirable but not essential requirement).
  • Performing administrative tasks to support the office team and maintain smooth operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an accounts role with familiarity with Sales and Purchase Ledgers.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 accounting software.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a small team.
  • Payroll experience is desirable but not a prerequisite for the role.
