As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the hospitals grounds are maintained to a high standard, undertaking grounds maintenance work including grass cutting, clearing leaves, litter picking.
Working alongside an established team, you will turn your hand to all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.

As a Groundskeeper you will be:
- Ensuring that the grounds of the hospital are maintained to a high standard, undertaking grounds maintenance work including grass cutting, clearing leaves, litter picking
- Ensuring that all aspects of health and safety and operational policies and procedures are adhered to
- Supporting the completion of PPM checks on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Ensuring the completion of all contractor paperwork and tool checks on access/egress of the site
- Completing individual tool checks in line with local procedures
- Escorting of contractors whilst on site and complying with security requirement's
- Reviewing daily work sheets and prioritising tasks accordingly and complete as directed
- Able to work as part of a team and work on own initiative
- Willing to undertake hospital driving duties as required
- Able to be part of an on-call rota system for the purposes of emergency maintenance
To be successful in this role, you will:
- To comply with system and procedures.
- Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
- To work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of service.
- Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

You will be working at Aberbeeg, a low secure service for men which aims to make sure that each service user receives an individualised formulation of needs, to ensure that the care and treatment delivered is appropriate. Aberbeeg is located within the boundaries of the county borough of Blaenau Gwent, set in 11.5 acres of land with beautiful views of the Welsh countryside.
Aberbeeg uses a twelve week therapeutic planning model alongside the "Safewards" model of care. This means that service users have a therapeutic timetable devised collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team using meaningful and smart goals for a twelve week period. Following this, the timetable is reviewed and changed to reflect the development and achievements made.
Aberbeeg is located within the boundaries of the county borough of Blaina Gwent. Set in 11.5 acres of land with beautiful views of the Welsh countryside.
