Description
The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant are:

Support the Finance Management in the investigation and analysis of GL Accounts, mappings, and high-volume data between systems.

Recommendations and production of accurate reconciliation files.

Report design, validation, functionality, and integration in to BAU
-
Prepare and maintain reports as required for Finance and circulation
-
Develop and input into problem solving and required work arounds
-
Data migration reconciliations post go live
-
Liaise with other departments to understand and clear items identified in a timely manner

Data Cleansing and analysing over 90day old reconciliation items ensuring all can be identified, explained, with zero items pending over 90 days, except where genuine business rationale exists

Other functions:

Support the broader Finance team and cover where required

Involvement in the system development in the various phases

Prepare and post journals where required

Prepare and implement procedure notes, working files for circulation and approval
Profile
The successful Management Accountant will be:
- Part qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
- Prior knowledge of ALFA / Odessa / Exact desirable
- Prior experience working in Leasing / Asset Finance / Banking preferable
- IT Change management experience from a Finance perspective
- Good level of understanding of Finance reconciliations
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot tables, Vlookup function
- IFRS9 Knowledge advantageous
- Inquisitive mindset, investigating, problem solving experience
- Can work to group finance deadlines, with ability to prioritise and work well under pressure
- Good people, time management, and organisational skills,
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable professional conduct when dealing with colleagues
- Self-disciplined, motivated and time efficient
