About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Maths Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Newham. This is an exciting opportunity for an agency worker to bring their expertise and enthusiasm for mathematics to a diverse and energetic learning environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education, inspiring students to achieve their full potential in mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and teach engaging and challenging Maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of some Key Stage 5 teaching.
- Regularly assess students' work, track progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them improve and achieve their targets.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of students with varying abilities, ensuring all students are supported and challenged appropriately.
- Ensure that students are well-prepared for GCSE and other relevant examinations, providing additional support where necessary.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum and a proven track record of teaching Maths in a secondary school setting.
- Prior experience in teaching Maths at Key Stages 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 experience being a plus.
- Effective classroom management skills to create a positive and orderly learning environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
