A fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for natural catastrophes to join a sophisticated technical and forward-thinking catastrophe/exposure management team in the London market.
In this varied role you will have responsibilities such as:
- Manage/oversee Nat Cat monthly reporting and portfolio rollups
- Work closely with the underwriters to help them make informed portfolio decisions using cat and exposure analytics
- Process improvements to support pricing, planning and capital modelling.
- Enhancing the processes for managing and pricing exposure analysis (including documentation) to gain efficiencies.
- Support outwards Reinsurance analytics
- Provide training and workflow management to direct reports
- Work closely with regulators
- Assist in progressing Lloyds principles for Nat Cat and keep abreast of emerging trends
- Active member of the Exposure Management Committee
- Stay abreast of exposure management best practice and emerging trends.
Experience Required:
- Degree level educated, likely to be in physical hazards or a numerate subject
- Must have Catastrophe/ Exposure/ Portfolio experience in Lloyds of London insurance market.
- Ideally experienced user of RMS Risklink (although AIR also considered)
- Strong Excel skills and SQL/Python/ R coding experience desirable.
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for collaborating across a variety of business functions
- A desire to make a difference and be an expert in all thing's Property / Nat Cat related
- Ability to develop and train direct reports
