Interim HR Business Partner - Three months

Job Type: Full-time, temporary, three months initially, with the potential to become permanent
Location: Central Oxford, Hybrid with two days spent in the office
Hourly rate: £24.00-£28.00 per hour plus holiday pay PAYE via Reed

An esteemed educational establishment in Oxford is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to strategically support senior leaders and managers in developing a workforce plan. This role is a temporary ongoing position with the potential to become permanent, offering a hybrid working pattern with 2 days per week in the office in Central Oxford.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for people issues within a defined client area, working closely with departments to understand their business objectives and provide strategic HR support.
  • Create, develop, and review a Workforce Plan, utilising workforce data insight and benchmark information to contribute to future people strategies.
  • Deliver high-level, non-routine operational advice and assistance across the full range of HR issues, including discipline, grievance, and organisational change.
  • Lead a portfolio of employee relations cases, including the management of complex cases.
  • Contribute to regular development and briefing sessions for managers and lead projects both within HR and the wider business.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor junior members of the team to support their HR careers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience advising line managers on staffing issues in a complex organisation, ideally within a unionised environment.
  • CIPD Level 7 qualification or the willingness to work towards it.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience providing HR support for organisational change.
