Reed is currently supporting a local Newbury client in their search for a Credit Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.
This role is an integral part of the business and will sit within a team of three having responsible for the collection of all monies on your own ledger. This role will be looking after a range of customers from small businesses through to multinational corporations, therefore strong communication skills are essential for this role and the ability to build relationships with new and existing clients.
Duties for the position include,
- Monitor and manage the credit control processes, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and address any payment delays or discrepancies promptly
- Negotiate payment terms when applicable
- Liaise with customers to resolve non-payment issues
- Accurate allocation of customer cash receipts
- Escalate to legal when required
This role would be suited to someone with experience within a Credit Control position, whether standalone or part of a team. However, this is also a great opportunity for someone who is looking to move into a new role and is comfortable speaking with clients over the phone and through emails.
This role is fully office based, with working hours of Mon-Thurs 8.30am-5.30pm with 1 hour for lunch. Friday is 8am to 4.30pm with 30 mins for lunch.
