Description
- Leadership: Combine data architecture and engineering expertise to lead the design of data solutions. Help shape data teams, manage, and mentor data engineers.
- Data Management: Establish protocols for data quality, security, and privacy within the data engineering practice.
- Data Pipeline Development: Lead the design and development of data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, quality, and consistency.
- Data Modelling: Design and implement data models that support efficient querying and analysis.
- Performance Optimisation: Monitor and optimise the performance of data components to reduce latency, minimize costs, and improve overall efficiency.
- Automation: Identify opportunities to automate workflows, data validation, and monitoring processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and support their data-related needs.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, ETL processes, and data architecture.
Profile
- Experience in leading data engineering design on Google Cloud Platform.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring data engineers.
- Experience with greenfield or start-up data platform design and development.
- Experience with infrastructure as code for data developments.
- Knowledge of multi-cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of data architecture best practices and industry trends.
- Ability to translate complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining data platform elements (pipelines, ingestion layers, data lakes, data warehouses, etc.).
- Experience with Business Intelligence and reporting environments.
Job Offer
