Early Years Phase Lead - September 2024

Role Overview: As the Early Years Phase Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team. You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, fostering a supportive and engaging environment for our youngest learners, and working collaboratively with staff, parents, and the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the EYFS team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement a creative and stimulating EYFS curriculum that meets the needs of all children.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, using data to inform planning and interventions.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Work closely with parents and carers to engage them in their child's learning and development.
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to contribute to the overall vision and direction of the school.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and school policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialization in Primary Education.
  • Proven experience in an EYFS setting, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and the ability to meet the diverse needs of all learners.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a leadership role within an EYFS setting.
  • Additional qualifications or training in Early Years Education.
