Compliance and Sustainability Manager | Peterbrough | Salary up to £45,000 + Benefits
Our Internationally based client is looking for a Compliance and Sustainability Manager to be based in the Peterborough area. This business has been established for many years and focuses on providing excellent service to all its customers. The company is going through a period of large growth and so requires a well-rounded Product Technologist and Compliance Manager to join their team.
As the Compliance and Sustainability Manager your main duties will include:
- Identify and implement sustainable practices, track progress, and report outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assess supplier practices, manage risks, address non-conformities, and ensure adherence to customer and regulatory standards.
- Document and analyse supply chains through tier management, mapping, and comprehensive documentation reviews.
- Promote sustainability while offering commercially viable solutions that align with budgetary considerations and business needs.
- Lead initiatives to enhance the supply chain, focusing on waste reduction, packaging optimisation, and implementing sustainable practices like FSC certification and circularity in product design and lifecycle management.
- Work collaboratively with teams in the Far East to create and enforce robust policies and procedures.
- Ensure quality through rigorous factory processes and audits that meet specific customer standards.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in a similar role, in retail or supply chain
- Far east sourcing experience desirable
- Customer-Centric Approach
- Familiarity with compliance management software and tools to streamline compliance processes and reporting.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes and compliance requirements.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and an ability to discuss solutions in a pragmatic way
- Confidence to influence and engage, building relationships with key stakeholders
