Fashion Graphic Designer - License and Shape

We have an innovative, fashion forward and successful supplier of fashion-led, licensed and graphics fashion clothing to the High Street who are looking to expand their creative Mens, Womens and Boyswear team.
The role includes creating designs to promote new business opportunities, grow existing business accounts and send out detailed technical garment specifications for sampling purposes including artwork for their Menswear, Womenswear and Boyswear Department.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Research new trends, shapes, fabrics and develop Menswear / Boyswear / womenswear
  • Designing graphics and licensing as well as some shapes on menswear / boyswear / womenswear
  • Researching the latest graphics trends with an eye for newness
  • Able to react quickly to trends, designing into them with speed where seasonally appropriate
  • Researching and proposing new license trends
  • Demonstrating a good knowledge of graphic techniques and using these within artworks
  • Working closely with sales managers to meet customer briefs
  • Developing seasonal trend boards and creating bespoke customer trend boards
  • Identifying new opportunities with new fabrications shapes, graphics, and prints
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships as well as understanding their brand needs
  • Produce customer-specific trend boards whilst continually looking to innovate with exciting new product design/development

Person specification:

  • Strong graphic and Licensing skills are essential for this role
  • Previous experience in a similar role for 3 - 5 years
  • Be able to work closely and efficiently in a fast-paced fashion environment
  • Innovate new ideas for customers
  • Keeping up to date with research to develop business
  • Be confident in presenting trends and design developments internally and professionally
  • Have good communication skills with a positive and accommodating attitude
  • Establish productive working relationships with commercial managers and team members
  • Be able to work on own initiative, prioritise workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • The ability to use Photoshop and Illustrator is essential
