Major Recruitment's Technical Division are delighted to be working with their exclusive manufacturing and engineering client based in Rochdale assisting them with the recruitment of a Shipping Coordinator for their business.
The successful Shipping Coordinator will join the team and assist with administration and shipping duties.
This role is part-time, initially 2 days to work alongside the current office manager and not only assist but learn the role. This role is likely to increase to 4 days over time. The successful candidate will be expected to cover holidays within the office and will be paid overtime accordingly.
Key Responsibilities
- Shipping goods via freight forwarders and different couriers.
- Experience of LC shipments and the paperwork involved.
- Sales invoicing.
- Typing quotes.
- Data input
- Petty cash
- General office admin
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Time management and an ability to prioritise and plan work effectively.
- Touch typing and clerical skills.
- Previous experience of accountancy programs.
