Our client, a small specialised freight forwarder based Heathrow requires a full time or part time Bookkeeper for their stand alone role.
Ability to work on own initiative and current knowledge of SAGE Line 50 and Boxtop software is essential.
Experience in a freight forwarding office would be an distinct advantage.
The job includes:

Posting purchase invoices including some foreign ones in SAGE

Posting payments from clients in SAGE

Using Boxtop software

Basic credit control

Bank account management - knowledge of Nat West Bank Line an advantage

Aged Debtor Analysis / reports from SAGE and production / despatch of customer statements

Aged Creditor Analysis / reports from SAGE and preparation of Bulk payment lists for month end and secondary payments by SF

Remittance advices

Experience / willingness to undertake general office admin tasks

The role would involve some basic HR admin, though not full responsibility.

There is also a requirement for monitoring and diarising insurance policy renewals, licences for vehicles, training records and similar tasks.
The company has an outside accountant overseeing the management accounts so the bookkeeper would liaise with him on a regular basis. Accountant looks after the payroll, pensions and VAT returns.
