There's plenty of good jobs out there but not many that will give you a competitive salary, leads AND future equity in the business.
Loads of financial planners dream of building a business. Putting their own stamp on things and doing it their way. Growing a team and earning income from it. However, while being an entrepreneur has a nice ring to it, doing it all on your own sounds a bit risky when you've got 3 kids and a mortgage.
What if you could do it with the support of an established business?
Our client is a market leader in their field. With a national adviser network specialising in mortgages and equity release, they're already authorised and regulated by the FCA. They understand financial planning, they have significant financial planning experience across their senior management team and they have done a financial planning before (albeit not for long) so they have all the back office systems and procedures in place. They have a small amount recurring income, a dedicated marketing team and many of their clients and introducers are already asking them for help with financial planning.
Now they need an adviser who can take on the challenge.
It won't all be easy. The role will be predominantly new business orientated. The opportunities are there but they need someone with the right attitude, drive and ambition to maximise them. They're not daft, the directors understand it will take time, but for someone with a long term focus it will be worth it.
To start off with you will be the only one, so they really need an experienced Financial Planner with a track record of converting business. Starting salary is fairly flexible and you will earn about a third of the revenue that you bring in (new and ongoing). They're confident that by year 3 you will be earning £100,000+
