Event Executive

Calling all Event enthusiasts! Do you have 2 years + Events experience and are now looking for your next opportunity to curate unforgettable experiences with a lasting impact? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Charity in North Leeds for an Events Executive to join the team.

This isn't your average charity or run-of-the-mill desk job; you won't be following 'textbook' processes and be tied down with red tape... We are on the lookout for someone with infectious energy and drive, able to bring your expertise to the table to be a driving force behind an exciting lineup of events.

What you'll be doing within this Events role:

  • Collaborating with the Head of Events to plan and work on their Calendar of events from concept to execution
  • Manage, support and attend all Events which are all Yorkshire based, being the charity's ambassador at these events
  • Build relationships at all levels with venues, suppliers, Award Committees, florists etc being clear in your communication to ensure expectations are met
  • Organise all guest information for events, maintaining database information and also ensuring payment has been made
  • Working with the event committees and sponsors - organising and attending meetings, producing agendas, taking minutes when needed
  • Working with the charities outside agencies such as PR, to ensure the social media content and imagery is effective, writing copy and creating exciting stories to impact wider engagement
  • Working with the Head of Events on budgets for the events
  • You will conduct research and create captivating copy for event publications
  • Pre and post event prize coordination - liaising with winning bidders
  • Volunteer recruitment - involved with driving recruitment for events and organising training
  • Put forward new ideas for events that will enable the charity to continue to grow and develop
  • Managing and driving ticket sales for Events, working with the wider team. Taking bookings online, adding to the database and raising associated invoices

What we're looking for:

  • Attitude is key - the team are looking for someone to match their passion, enthusiasm, work ethic and energy. This isn't your 'normal' job, and the role requires a truly resilient, diligent, and adaptable individual always willing to go the extra mile.
  • Proven experience in an Events role for 2+ years, able to demonstrate clear examples of being involved with and leading on a diverse portfolio of events. This experience could be within a Hotel or Hospitality, an Events agency or a Charity or similar.
  • Exceptional planning and organisational acumen, adept at documenting and tracking programs, expenses, and plans.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong numerical capabilities.
  • Ability to operate independently within your role while seamlessly integrating within a broader team framework.
  • Proficiency in multitasking and managing a varied workload, maintaining a calm approach under pressure.
