Head of Finance
Salary: £50k - £60 per annum
Location: Fully Remote
Reports to: Finance Director
We are supporting a fantastic reputable charity organisation looking for an experienced Finance Professional to join their team.
As the Head of Finance, you will play a crucial part in the company's strategic planning and growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities as a Head of Finance:
- Lead the Finance Team on all aspects of the businesses day-to-day financial operations to ensure financial health, long-term sustainability and compliance with polices etc.
- Lead on the process of preparing and setting budgets, financial forecasting and reporting, liaising closely with the Director of Finance and budget holders.
- Prepare financial reports and statements (e.g., balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).
- Monitor financial performance against budget and identify areas for improvement.
- Undertaking financial due diligence approval checks against the raising of invoices, monthly payroll submissions, fortnightly BACS runs, cash flow management and bank reconciliations.
- Manage the company's cash flow and ensure timely payment of debts and oversee the accounting function to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the wider finance team members.
Requirements of the role:
- An experienced individual, who has worked in a senior financial management role previously.
- Achievement of a recognised, professional Accountancy part qualification status (for example, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience in the preparation of budgets, financial analysis and financial reporting.
- Proven IT skills, including a high-level proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, with a strong knowledge of Excel's functions.
- Good people skills as this role will have line management responsibilities.
