Join a Leading Manufacturing Company as a Materials Controller

We're helping to recruit a Materials Controller on a permanent full time basis, and the role comes with an excellent salary up to £27,500 per annum and benefits package.
As a Material Controller, you will be responsible for identifying and reporting any risks to supply and manage the delivery schedule of FCLs, ensuring no detention occurs while passing freight-related invoices for FCLs and liaising with 3PLs.
What You Will Do:
- Release Purchase Orders and expedite component orders to maintain delivery dates and support assembly and after-sales.
- Raise manually generated orders to provide components outside of the MRP control.
- Monitor delivery performance of selected vendors and implement improvements in supplier delivery adherence.
- Attend supplier and department meetings to discuss and agree on targets and actions in line with above responsibilities.
- Identify and report any risks to the company's continuity of component supply in a timely manner.
- Support other areas of the department and organization to achieve company objectives.
What You Will Bring:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A to C to include English Language and Maths.
- Experience in purchasing and an understanding of MRP.
- Numeracy and good attention to detail.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to communicate clearly at all times.
