Position: SEN Behavioral Support Teaching Assistant
Location: Kidderminster, Worcestershire
Hourly Rate: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour
Annual Salary: £20,941.30 - £22,835.30 (Term-Time Only)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, term-time only

**About the Role

As a Behavioral Support Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students aged 11-16 with special educational needs, including Autism and associated conditions. Working alongside our experienced teaching team, you will provide both academic and vocational support, helping students excel in their educational and personal development. Whether it's in the classroom, outdoors with Bushcraft, or in life skills activities, your role will make a real difference

In this role, you will provide essential support in a highly specialised learning environment, helping students to manage sensory overload, anxiety, and transitions while working towards their personal and educational goals.

**Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to students in their learning, development, and progress across all areas of the curriculum.
  • Assist students with personal and educational goals, particularly those with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs.
  • Promote an environment that values equality, diversity, and respect for all.
  • Play a proactive role in fostering a positive learning environment, supporting students in developing confidence and independence.
  • Participate in physical intervention and personal care routines as required.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure the best outcomes for students, focusing on their transition into adult life.

  • Willing to support outdoor and community-based learning activities.
  • Educated to at least Level 2 in Maths and English (or equivalent).
