Commercial Director to Global Media Company

Our client, a global digital marketing agency is looking for a dynamic Commercial Director to spearhead strategy and lead their teams. They are a company that thrive on innovation and growth and have been industry leaders for over 10 years now and are looking for someone with a proven track record in a similar role within the media sector to join their team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Reporting directly to the CEO and acting as part of the SLT you will be pivotal in sustaining the companies growth trajectory. You will be instrumental in maintaining their performance marketing whilst also attracting new media streams.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development – Developing and implementing commercial strategy in line with the companies goals. Identifying new business opportunities and developing pricing strategies to maximise revenue.
  • Business Development – Identifying new market opportunities and developing strategic partnerships to enhance business growth. Managing all new business leads from initial inquiry to deal closure and creating and delivering sales presentations and proposals.
  • Strategic Marketing Positioning – Working wit the CEO, COO and Director of Strategy to evolve the companies market proposition and ensure the companies narrative aligns with overall market positioning. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Financial Management – Prepare and manage the commercial budget, oversee sales performance and ensure cost efficiency and profitability
  • Lead Generation – Lead the generation team and working with Marketing to ensure efforts are strategic, consistent and high quality.
  • Client Relationships and Cross-Selling – Supporting the client service team on cross-selling opportunities and provide consultation on commercial models and developing framework for pitch presentations.
  • Commercial Strategy and Education – Developing and implementing frameworks and guidelines for commercial proposals, as well as educating the wider business on best practice in commercial proposal development and negotiation skills.
  • Team Leadership and Management – Leading and organising the new business team to meet and exceed targets.

Requirements

  • Excellent strategic planner and leader
  • Articulate communicator who can confidently present to both internal teams and external clients
  • Able to create and deliver impactful presentations and written proposals
  • Strong strategic acumen and ability to fully understand and interpret client briefs, collaborating with the team to create a strategic response
  • Highly knowledgeable in pricing strategies with a strong understanding of how to structure and price client proposals
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating deals
  • An inspiring leader who is skilled in and motivating teams
