Due to an increase work and growth within the business, our client based near Altham is looking to strengthen it's Quality Department with the addition of a Quality Inspector.
This a permanent position, working a standard 40 hours per week (definitive hours to be discussed at interview stage) The rate of pay ranges from £15 to £16.50 per hour depending upon experience.
Core responsibilities.
- Operating CMM's and a variety of manual precision measuring equipment
- Carrying out First Off and Final Inspections
- Communicating effectively to ensure completed work conforms with engineering drawings and customer specifications
- Creating NCR reports
- Support Continuous Improvement in all aspect of the job
- Working closely with the Quality Engineers and reporting any defects or ideas for improvements
What are we looking for?
- Working knowledge of CMM inspection methods
- Programming experience is desired but not essential
- Experience with manual inspection techniques with the use of Micrometers, Verniers and Gauges
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications
- Good communication skills
- Experience using MRP and ERP systems
- Evidence of working with QMS
- Ideally have qualifications within Engineering with HNC/HND being advantageous
