IT Support Engineer - Manchester

A fully licensed UK company is seeking an IT Support Engineer. This company offers various services, including real-time multi-currency payments, accounts, acquiring, indirect scheme access, open banking, and FX solutions. Trusted by over 200 companies, it serves over 10 million customers across the UK and Europe.

The company is looking for a skilled IT Support Engineer with expertise in Office 365. Based in Manchester, this role requires office presence at least four days a week. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of the company's technology systems and support employees with Office 365-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Office 365 Support:

- Provide technical support for Office 365 applications (Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).

- Troubleshoot and resolve Office 365 issues.

Help Desk Assistance:

- Respond to IT support requests via phone, Jira ITSM, or in person.

- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.

Software Installation and Configuration:

- Install, configure, and update Office 365 applications.

- Deploy software updates and patches.

User Training and Guidance:

- Train employees on Office 365 tools to enhance productivity.

- Create and maintain user-friendly documentation and guides.

Security and Compliance:

- Implement security measures for Office 365 applications.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Technical Documentation:

- Maintain accurate documentation of software configurations and troubleshooting procedures.

Collaboration and Coordination:

- Collaborate with the IT team on complex technical issues.

- Communicate with vendors and service providers to address technical concerns.

Continuous Improvement:

- Stay updated with the latest Office 365 developments.

- Suggest and implement improvements for Office 365 performance.

Skills and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

- Proven IT support experience.

- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.

- Strong troubleshooting skills.

- Familiarity with Windows operating systems.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Customer-focused attitude.

- Strong organisational skills.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) are a plus.
