Cleaning Supervisor

Due to exponential growth, there is now an opportunity and a requirement within a very well-known property management company for a cleaning supervisor, based in Tunbridge Wells.

Overview:

As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing the cleaning staff to ensure a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment. You will coordinate cleaning schedules, inspect work performed, and provide guidance to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning: Clean a portfolio of properties to the business standard.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Lead, motivate, and supervise cleaning staff. Schedule and assign cleaning tasks to team members. Provide training to new employees and ongoing training to existing staff.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure all assigned areas are cleaned and maintained according to established standards. Address any deficiencies and provide feedback to the cleaning team for improvement.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory. Coordinate with the procurement department to order supplies as needed.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all cleaning activities comply with safety and health regulations. Provide training on proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients or facility managers to understand specific cleaning requirements. Address client concerns or special requests promptly.
  • Reporting: Maintain records of cleaning activities, inspections, and staff performance. Generate regular reports on cleaning tasks, supply usage, and equipment maintenance.
  • Issue Resolution: Handle and resolve issues or conflicts within the cleaning team. Report any equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs or replacements.
  • Budget Management and growth: Assist in budget planning for cleaning supplies and staffing needs. Optimise resource allocation to meet budgetary constraints. Growth of the cleaning department and function for the business.
