Step Resourcing are recruiting for a Highly Skilled Landscape Gardener to join our clients' team.
Our client is a award winning company with a passionate and innovative approach to landscaping and gardening, based in Rochester, Kent, with work across Kent and London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently, carrying out a wide variety of landscaping tasks, including hardscaping, softscaping, paving, decking, and fencing installations.
- Work collaboratively with the design team to bring garden designs to life, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards and client specifications.
- Operate a range of landscaping equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Follow sustainable landscaping practices, including the use of eco-friendly materials, native plantings, and water-efficient irrigation systems.
- Assist with site preparation, excavation, and grading as required.
- Provide guidance and support to apprentices or less experienced team members, facilitating their development and growth in the field of landscaping.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in landscaping or a related construction field
- Ability to lead a project and manage team members
- Strong practical skills and the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy loads
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Good understanding of, and interest in, sustainability and eco-friendly landscaping practices
- Full UK Drivers Licence, and ability to drive small commercial vehicles
Start Date: Immediate start available
Location: Rochester, Kent - Work Across Kent and London
Rate: Up to £36,000 per annum - depending on skills and experience
Hours: Monday to Friday
Occasional Weekend work
7.30am till 4.30 (although some days may be longer with a 6pm finish)
Essential: Drivers Licence
