We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our students' educational and emotional development, working closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
- Support students in managing their behaviour and emotions, promoting positive social interactions.
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of our students.
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
- Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle
