Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and diligent Senior Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Accounting and Finance team on a temporary basis. This role is integral in ensuring the smooth operation of the financial department in their Burton-On-Trent location. This is a temporary position, with hybrid working.

Description
- Manage the accounts payable process and ensure all invoices are paid on time
- Reconcile supplier statements and deal with any discrepancies
- Assist with month-end closing processes
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
- Communicate with suppliers regarding invoicing and payment queries
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes
Profile
A successful Senior Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
- Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Excellent numeric skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
