About the role of Sponsorship Sales Manager

We are looking to recruit for a hungry and ambitious Sponsorship Sales Manager to join a successful Event Sales team in the UK (working from the Central London office 2 days a week).

This role will be a mix of managing 2 junior sales executives (SDR's) who will help generate sales leads for the team and you will also play an integral part of contributing sales revenue for the sponsorship sales team by managing some of the top tier accounts in the portfolio whilst developing new business.

As a Sponsorship Sales Manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for growing and developing an existing portfolio of top tier accounts
  • Develop new sponsorship opportunities with new prospects within the Energy & Commodity sector selling to Energy producers, Banks, Technology vendors, Trading Houses and service providers across EMEA
  • Manage, coach and develop a team of 2 BDR's (Business Development Reps) who will help support your sales team by developing sponsorship sales leads for the events and conferences
  • Develop and maintain quality relationships with existing and new customers; utilize analytical skills to understand customers changing business and technology issues and needs.
  • Communicate professionally internally and externally
  • Attend conferences in your territory and represent the company, brand and product offering (some overseas travel will be involved as part of the role)
  • Strive to hit and exceed monthly sales revenue targets

Your Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 Years professional sales experience of which at least 2 of these years within a Sponsorship Sales role
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets
  • Experience of selling events / event sponsorship
  • Determined and driven to understand new markets, clients, and products
  • Effective organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent communications skills in person, on the phone and over email.
  • Goal orientated and a team player
  • Some team management experience would be ideal
