Fluxia is seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer with expertise in Verilog to join our electronics design team in Manchester. In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and optimizing firmware for digital electronic systems, with a focus on FPGA-based solutions.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to

  • Collaborate closely with hardware and software engineers to define firmware requirements and specifications
  • Design and develop firmware using Verilog for FPGA-based systems
  • Implement and optimize firmware algorithms to meet performance, power, and timing requirements
  • Conduct simulation and verification of firmware designs using industry-standard tools such as ModelSim
  • Work closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with hardware designs
  • Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues throughout the development and testing process
  • Document firmware designs, test procedures, and results according to company standards

Experiences required

  • 2 to 5 Years experience in firmware development using Verilog, preferably for FPGA-based systems
  • Strong understanding of digital design principles and FPGA architecture
  • Proficiency in using FPGA development tools such as Xilinx Vivado or Altera Quartus
  • Experience with simulation and verification tools such as ModelSim
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field
