**About the Role

Joining our team within a global law firm represents a unique opportunity in the profession for an attorney to combine a busy patent drafting, filing and prosecution docket with due diligence work supporting corporate transactions, as well as providing litigation support. Working in cutting edge technology areas which require boundary pushing work, the hi-tech team also has a high number of oral proceedings before the EPO.

About You

We are looking for candidates with a strong academic record in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical engineering.
In addition, the ideal candidate will:
- have a Masters and/or PhD in a relevant field and/or industry experience;
- be (i) single qualified as either a UK or European Patent Attorney and be working towards dual qualifying, (ii) recently dual-qualified as both a UK and European Patent Attorney, or (iii) have dual-qualified in the last two years;
- be self-motivated in further developing their knowledge of IP law and patent prosecution work;
- be proactive in undertaking a wide range of work, across diverse technical and legal areas;
- have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with experience working under pressure towards tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy;
- be flexible in their attitude and an effective team player, willing to collaborate and build professional relationships across all levels; and
- have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
