Cover Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant educational setting in Stratford, East London. This role is ideal for graduates looking to gain valuable experience in a school environment before embarking on a teaching career. The successful candidate will be on standby from 7am, with calls for work typically between 7-7:30am, and will be responsible for supervising classes of students aged 11-16 across a variety of subjects.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Supervising a classroom of up to 30 students, ensuring a constructive and respectful learning environment.
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining discipline in accordance with the school's policies.
- Ensuring students remain on task with the work they have been set by their regular teacher.
- Dealing with any immediate issues or emergencies according to the school's policies and procedures.
- Providing feedback to teachers on students' progress and behaviour.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong behaviour management skills and an understanding of classroom dynamics.
- Flexibility to cover a variety of subjects and adapt to different classes.
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not offered).
- Availability for up to 3 days per week.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
