A Junior Production Engineer with relevant experience is needed to join our team at Veker, a leading rubber extrusion business based in Birmingham, on a full-time basis.
Veker has a great reputation for manufacturing rubber extrusions, gaskets and mouldings, built upon nearly 20 years of continuous development. We're specialists in turning ideas into dependable, custom-made solutions, often in the tightest of timescales.
We extrude a wide range of polymers, both sponge and solid, and value our reputation as the UK's largest rubber extruder.

About the Role
You will be the crucial link between Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales. You will work under the Production Manager to focus on New Tooling, Improving Current Tooling, maintaining Tooling, designing New Tooling, and improving Product Quality.
You will also be responsible for creating any bespoke Jigs and Fixtures that may be required. A typical day would involve using the Wire Eroder Machine, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, and processes including Turning, Drilling, Grinding, and Fitting.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Tool Design, Maintenance and Modification of Existing Tooling
- Bespoke Jigs and Fixtures that may be required
- To assist the Production Manager, Production Supervisors, and Maintenance Engineer with any issues that arise with Tooling
Required Experience:
- Ideally, Cities and Guilds in Engineering
- Machine Shop Experience
- Miller Experience
- Lathe Experience
- Wire Eroder Experience
- Microsoft Packages
- AutoCAD Packages
