Prospero Teaching is currently on the lookout for Science graduates with a keen interest in education to join a secondary school in Camden. Specifically, we're seeking individuals who have excelled in Science at both GCSE and A-level, and who hold a degree in a Science related field.

Are you interested in working as a teaching assistant in a secondary school where there may be opportunities to train to teach in the future?

WHAT DOES THE SCIENCE GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT ROLE INVOLVE:

Supporting the class teacher and students during lessons

  • 1 a rapport with 5 - 6 students with specific needs and implementing strategies to nurture, engage and raise attainment in their secondary years
  • 1:1 Science tuition sessions supporting your subject specialism
  • Running intervention groups in your subject area to build their knowledge of the subject

WHAT SUPPORT WILL I BE GIVEN AS A SCIENCE GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT?
Youll be given training, guidance and support by an experienced consultant at Prospero and our Training and Development Team
A programme of FREE Training and CPD sessions are also offered.

SCIENCE GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT:

  • Full-time school hours, 8am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
  • You will be required to run an after-school club once a week until 4.30pm and attend a departmental meeting once a week.
  • The role is paid weekly at £500 per week and can become a permanent post in the future.
