About the role:

As a Learning Disabilities Support Worker ( Temp to Perm basis ) you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals to live independently and achieve their personal goals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personalised support to clients in their daily activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and household tasks.
  • Implementing and monitoring individual support plans, ensuring the well-being and safety of clients.
  • Encouraging and assisting clients in engaging with their community and building social connections.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals, family members, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Documenting and reporting on client progress and any incidents or concerns.
  • Participating in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Work flexibly across a 7-day rota to meet the needs of the people we support, including night shifts

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or a relevant qualification in health and social care.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathy and a person-centred approach to care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding and commitment to promoting independence and inclusion.
