The young person you will support is looking for an individual who is reliable and motivated. The ideal candidate would be bubbly and outgoing character with a can do attitude, to provide support for the young person and promote the their daily living and educational needs.

The young person enjoys music, sensory, rolling around on their tumble mat and having a good sense of humor & going out on activities. The client needs a team of 1:1 and/or 2:1 care to assist with trying various activities to suit their needs, whilst ensuring their dignity, safety and well being is maintained.

The client requires assistance with promoting personal care/hygiene, personal safety and well being. The young person required assistance with PEG feed, mobility, administration of medication and accessing the community.

The young person you will be supporting lives in the family home, with the family being at center for support and guidance. The young person will be moving to home that will be full adapted for their needs. The new home is based in the Great Hardwood, Blackburn area.

The client has complex care needs, physical disabilities and requires comprehensive support due to an accident at birth.

We are looking for someone to support our client to be involved in day to day activities, therapies, outings, educational needs and occasional support in their school. The client is fully dependent on those assisting with personal care and moving and handling.

Previous experience working within care, PEG, catheter & medication administration is desirable, but full training and support will be given to the right individuals ready to flourish in this role.

Candidate must hold a full driving licence and it be possible for us to obtain insurance for you to drive the clients vehicle.

You will be required to write detailed notes daily.

Hours of work:

An average of 24 per week on a rolling Rota as detailed below:

Week 1

  • Monday 3pm to 8pm
  • Wednesday 3pm to 8pm
  • Friday 3pm to 8pm
  • Saturday 7am to 10pm

(32 hours)

Week 2

  • Monday 3pm to 8pm
  • Wednesday 3pm to 8pm
  • Friday 3pm to 10pm

(16 hours)

Rates of Pay

  • Weekday £15 per hour
  • Weekend £15 per hour
  • Night Rate (weekday) £15 per hour
  • Night Rate (weekend) £15 per hour
  • Bank Holiday Rate £28 per hour

Mileage to and from work is paid at 45p per mile.

Due to the nature of the role an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
