We are seeking a dedicated Business Studies Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Luton from January 2025. This permanent, full-time role is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with a passion for Business Studies and a commitment to student development.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Plan, deliver, and mark engaging Business Studies lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-level examinations with thorough and up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum.
  • Provide feedback and support to students to promote their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching resources and curriculum planning.
  • Participate in and contribute to the school's extra-curricular activities.
  • Attend staff meetings, parents' evenings, and other school events as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree and a PGCE or equivalent in Business Studies or a related subject.
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or NQT (Newly Qualified Teacher) status.
  • Experience teaching Business Studies at the secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Business Studies.
  • Excellent pedagogical skills to engage and motivate students.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to the school's ethos and values.
