Business Teacher (Maternity Cover with Potential for Permanent Role)

We are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Bromley, seeking a driven and passionate Business Teacher to join their dynamic team. This role is initially a maternity cover but has the potential to become a permanent position.
The ideal candidate will be an inspirational Teacher of Business with excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to ensuring every student thrives. You will be working with a highly dedicated and talented team of practitioners who share a passion for education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that excite students and foster a love for Business Studies.
- Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring all students meet and exceed expectations, reporting to the Head of Department or Line Manager as required.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress through reports, parent's evenings, and other channels.
- Maintain a positive learning environment by ensuring classrooms are tidy, displaying student work, and promoting good behaviour.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continually enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Well-organised, proactive, and able to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrates strong classroom management skills and is dedicated to making a positive impact on young people's lives.
- Has a deep knowledge of Business Studies at KS4 and KS5.
- Ready to engage with students not just in lessons but also as a tutor, contributing to their overall growth and development.
Position Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, and a relevant degree.
- Experience teaching Business in secondary schools and, ideally, further education settings.
- A genuine passion for working with young people in an educational environment.
- Punctual, trustworthy, and capable of building positive relationships with staff, students, and parents.
- A commitment to "going the extra mile" to achieve the best outcomes for every student.
