We are seeking a dedicated School Administrator for a primary school based in the heart of SE London to provide essential support in various administrative tasks. The role is integral to the smooth running of the school, ensuring financial operations, enrolments, and medical administration are handled efficiently and accurately. This is a temp to perm, term time only opportunity.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage Parentmail administration, including financial aspects, to ensure all payments are charged and paid on time, and administration of childcare vouchers, trips, wraparound care, and activity clubs.
  • Handle EYFS enrolments for September and January intakes, as well as in-year admissions, maintaining waiting lists, adhering to ratios, applying funding codes, and ensuring correct charges.
  • Administer Free School Meal processes, checking eligibility termly and reporting to the local authority.
  • Oversee medical administration, ensuring all medication is up-to-date, expiry dates are monitored, and medical lists are kept current for communication with relevant parties.
  • Manage student logins for various subscriptions, including Google Classroom.
  • Maintain the office email inbox, ensuring excellent communication with parents, carers, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct other financial administration tasks, including entering committed orders into the financial system Access.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in financial administration and managing systems such as Parentmail.
  • Familiarity with enrolment processes and educational funding codes.
  • Competence in handling medical administration and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems, including Google Classroom and financial systems like Access.
