ASCL is seeking to appoint a Deputy Director of Member Support. This role will report to the Director of Member Support.

Now is an exciting time to join the Association following the recent appointment of Pepe Di'Iasio as our General Secretary. Pepe is supported by the Presidential Trio, comprising serving school and college leaders elected to represent members, and together with ASCL Council and ASCL Executive, they have a close partnership with ASCL Leadership Group which manages the running of the Association. Pepe's leadership marks the start of a new phase of strategic development and evolution for the Association. The Deputy Director of Member Support will support the leadership and management of all aspects of member support services within ASCL.

As the Deputy Director of Member Support you will support the Director in managing a significant team of specialist support staff, developing support strategies and collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to grow and develop the Association's membership and improve member satisfaction and levels of retention.

The role requires an individual who will support our strategic outward-facing work, in addition to optimising and developing member engagement opportunities.

Your ability to lead, communicate and guide others drawing on your previous experience is an important requirement of the role regardless of your industry / sector background.

This role is paid on a five-point incremental range from £68,259 - £75,310 per annum. Reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses are also covered. The postholder will work from home, with IT and telephone equipment provided, with attendance at ASCL HQ in Leicester and other locations across the UK as required, with overnight stays expected.

ASCL is an equal opportunities employer and offers a very generous package of benefits, including 33 days holiday plus bank holidays and a pension scheme to which the association contributes 9%.
