The Head of Strategy and Commercial will play a key role in helping to define and drive the Global Strategy direction into local execution for the fastest growing product category.

Description
- Own the commercial strategy and performance management for a core product category
- Lead the category on P&L deep dives, identifying revenue/cost issues and driving continuous business improvement initiatives
- Assess commercial implications of strategic decisions made on product, marketing, investments at HQ and at a local level across Europe
- Build strong business partnerships with key accounts and align on goals and opportunities for growth
- Run regular business reviews and prepare meaningful material to share insights
- Liaise with local commercial leaders in markets to stay informed of key account performance and issues
- Monitor trends and developments in the European retail landscape and the impact they have to the business
- Assess assortment and pricing strategies being planned and deployed by the biggest retail partners, and its implications on the commercial strategy (e.g. pricing, promotions, incentives)
- Identify new channel development initiatives across markets, and scale where necessary
- Track market, competitor, channel developments, and share with the wider business
- Evaluate competitor's performance, pricing and channel strategies making recommendations to ensure the business continues to maintain a high-reaching position
- Provide mentorship to members of the team and develop content for executive presentations, customer meetings, local market workshops and specific performance reviews
- Present the commercial performance and strategy in the company to key stakeholders
Profile
A successful Head of Strategy and Commercial should have:
- A strong academic background with a degree in a relevant field
- Excellent strategic planning and execution skills
- The ability to drive business growth and manage a team of 3 effectively
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in working within a fast-paced, evolving industry
- Strategic thinker with a comprehensive understanding of P&L and commercial principles
- Comfortable and proficient to interact and present to the senior executives
- Outstanding analytical and data management skills
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
