Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Firestop Carpenter to join our construction team. The Firestop Carpenter will be responsible for installing firestop systems in commercial and residential buildings to prevent the spread of fire, smoke, and gases. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry and firestop installation, with a strong commitment to safety and quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install firestop systems including sealants, wraps, and other materials to designated areas such as walls, floors, and ceilings.
- Interpret and follow construction plans, blueprints, and specifications related to firestop installation.
- Measure, cut, and shape materials accurately to ensure a proper fit for firestop applications.
- Ensure all installations meet local building codes, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications.
- Perform quality checks and inspections to verify the effectiveness of firestop installations.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as electricians and plumbers, to coordinate firestop installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are used efficiently and safely.
