Reed Accountancy are currently partnered with an established client in the Crawley area in the recruitment of a Finance Assistant to join their team. As Finance Assistant you will have experience in a similar finance role and be comfortable with credit control and invoicing.
Day to Day duties of the Finance Assistant:
- Manage credit control and ensure timely invoicing of customers
- Set up and oversee Direct Debit customers and payments.
- Oversee weekly and monthly payment runs, ensuring all payments are made within agreed timescales.
- Assist with updating spreadsheets.
- Handle printing, stamping, and coding of supplier invoices.
- Enter invoices onto the system and approve supplier invoices.
- Force clearing of invoices on the system as needed.
- Resolve any invoice queries, maintaining an accurate log.
- Review supplier statements and chase missing invoices when necessary.
- Monitor the Accounts inbox and address queries received via email.
- Monitor supplier account credit limits and manage accordingly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in a finance-related role.
- Excellent numeracy, written, and computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Methodical approach with excellent attention to detail and the ability to show initiative.
- A positive, can-do attitude.
