An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced

Senior Management Accountant

to join a thriving organization in the IT sector. The company is a well-established, rapidly growing business with a strong track record of revenue and profit growth. This high-profile role reports directly to the Finance Manager and is instrumental in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making.

About the Role:

As Senior Management Accountant, you will have full responsibility for reporting the company management accounts, ensuring accuracy and clarity. You will play a pivotal role in working with non-financial managers, department heads, and senior management to implement improvements and provide actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly group management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and detailed commentary.
  • Conducting balance sheet reconciliations, including stock reconciliations.
  • Reviewing P&L analysis reporting and managing ledger close processes.
  • Presenting financial results to the senior management team.
  • Managing customer rebates, vendor funding allocations, and UK VAT return preparation.
  • Daily cashflow reporting and team management of banking, payments, and expenses functions.
  • Assisting with year-end audits and contributing to commercial reporting.
  • Overseeing sales commissions and bonus calculations.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Participating in company projects to enhance reporting and systems in collaboration with the Project Accountant.

About You:

  • Qualified Accountant with proven experience in management accounting.
  • Inquisitive mindset with a passion for process improvement.
  • Strong technical accounting understanding and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, sumifs).
  • Previous experience with system development is essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Flexible and professional approach, with team management experience being a plus.
  • Knowledge of Corporation Tax, VAT, and employment taxes.

Team Structure:

You will join a supportive finance team where you will manage three direct reports.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with one hour for lunch. The role offers hybrid working.
