About the role

The Sales and Strategic Asset Team at JRHT is a small yet essential part of the organisation. Our key focus is ensuring that customers purchasing a JRHT Shared Ownership home experience a smooth and stress-free move. We strive to empower our residents with clear knowledge about their local area, the sales process, and the details of their lease, maintaining an open and transparent approach throughout.

Our team works with a diverse range of residents, and we prioritize effective communication tailored to meet their individual needs. In addition to this, we support JRHT's Development Team in delivering the 10-year development strategy, which aims to provide 1,000 homes by 2029. Approximately 40% of these homes will be offered through Shared Ownership, making the role of the Sales Team crucial to achieving these goals.

In this role, you will oversee the sales process and provide aftercare for our Shared Ownership residents. You will also be responsible for guiding residents through the "staircasing" process, where they can purchase additional shares in their property, as well as managing the less common reverse staircasing.

Beyond these responsibilities, the team also manages commercial lets and leases, oversees asset disposals, and provides assistance with any lease-related queries across JRHT and JRF properties.

About you
The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for residents, solicitors, estate agents, and internal teams regarding sale and purchase inquiries. As such, experience in managing diverse situations and working with people who have varying needs and communication styles is essential. Strong resilience, along with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously, is crucial.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment while also demonstrating strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently when required.

Our core priority
JRHT strives to be a housing association that is sustainable and engaging, providing high quality and continuously improving services and decent affordable homes in well managed communities prioritising those in greatest need.
