TSR Legal are pleased to be working with a friendly, high-street law firm in Pontypool. This position promises a rewarding career for a Residential Conveyancer with the qualifications of CLC, CILEx, or Solicitor status, ensuring the capability to independently sign off files with confidence and authority. As a Residential Conveyancer you will be responsible for managing 50 files. To aid in the delivery of exceptional service, a legal assistant and secretary will be on hand, providing support and contributing to a collaborative and efficient working environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting property searches and investigations to verify legal ownership and property boundaries
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents related to property transactions
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding property transactions, ensuring they understand the process and their rights
- Manage and oversee the exchange of contracts and completion of property sales
- Handle all financial aspects of property transactions, including calculating taxes, fees, and disbursements, and managing client funds
- Liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the property transaction
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements throughout the conveyancing process
- Resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the property transaction, providing effective solutions and maintaining client satisfaction
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions and correspondence
- Conduct post-completion formalities, such as registering the transfer of ownership with the Land Registry
- Keep up to date with changes in property law and conveyancing practices to provide the best service to clients
- Manage and prioritize a caseload of property transactions efficiently and effectively
