We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker/Senior Social Worker to join our Children & Families team in Gloucestershire. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional services, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and young people in the area. By fostering positive relationships with colleagues and partner agencies, you will provide vital support and protection for those in need and at risk.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with children, young people, and their families to support and protect those in need.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the service and partner agencies to deliver a cohesive support system.
  • Work persistently to support families and communities, giving every child the best chance of a happy and rewarding life.
  • Participate in our ambitious improvement and transformation plans to enhance outcomes for children.
  • Ensure continuity of care by supporting children and their families from initial contact until a permanent solution is achieved.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in social work, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent.
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • UK-based statutory social work experience.
  • Completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) for those qualified after 2012.
  • A full driving licence and willingness to drive.
  • DBS clearance.
