Buyer, Ferndown, Temporary, ASAP Start, £30k
We are currently recruiting for an experiencedBuyer to join one of our clients in Ferndown to start immediately. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, build strong relationships with suppliers, and ensure that procurement processes run smoothly. You will be working closely with the Project Manager and playing a key role in maintaining timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities of Buyer:
- Develop and maintain a good rapport with suppliers to negotiate the best terms and ensure seamless procurement
- Liaise with Project Managers to understand material requirements and project timelines
- Place orders and raise purchase orders efficiently to meet project needs
- Keep Project Managers informed about any potential delays or issues with deliveries
- Update and maintain procurement spreadsheets using Excel to track orders and deliveries
- Utilise Sage 50 for managing purchase orders and stock control
Skills required as a Buyer:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Excel for updating and tracking spreadsheets
- Experience with Sage 50 or similar accounting software
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
