In this role, you will be a member of the UK and Ireland Litigation and Regulatory Enforcement Group within Deutsche Bank's Legal Department working on a variety of litigation and regulatory enforcement matters. You will serve as a key-contributor on the team overseeing and providing legal advice on litigation disputes and interacting with regulatory agencies. This role will require interaction with multiple internal and external stakeholders, collaboration across functions, and management and development of strategy on a variety of complex litigations and regulatory enforcement investigations.

Your key responsibilities

  • Overseeing active civil litigation and regulatory enforcement matters
  • Handling pre-litigation transactional disputes
  • Instructing and supervising outside counsel, serving as a primary interface between outside counsel and the business, overseeing the collection of documents and conducting interviews
  • Reporting to senior management
  • Assisting with internal investigations
  • Negotiating regulatory and civil litigation settlements

Your skills and experience

  • Significant experience at a major law firm, in-house legal department and/or regulatory authorities, all involving oversight of civil litigation and regulatory enforcement matters (government investigations, criminal or regulatory matters)
  • Qualified to practice in England and Wales
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team and create and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders
  • Must be able to work independently and an organised self-starter
  • Experience working for or with financial institutions is a plus
