A global investment management firm are looking to hire an experienced HR Advisor to join their fast-growing London office on a standalone basis. The HR Advisor will support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, payroll processes, and daily HR administrative tasks. This is a fixed term contract for one year which, for the right candidate, could become permanent.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
- Working with compliance to ensure the company meets its obligations
- Developing programmes that enhance employee relations
- Ensuring employees have correct pay and benefits (holiday, sick and maternity pay)
- Delivering compensation and benefit comparison reports to the executive team
- Promoting equality, health and safety within the company
- Ensuring that company employment policies follow national laws and regulations
- Recording and processing confidential information
- Recording payroll data in the company's software system
- Issuing P45s and other necessary tax forms
- Answering employee questions about payroll
- Maintaining compliant policies and procedures
- Deducting tax and national insurance payments
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role within financial services is essential
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, predominantly Excel
- Ability to prioritise work effectively.
- BSc or relevant degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR legal requirements.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills
