Senior Management Accountant

About the Role:

I am seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join this fantastic finance team based at their office near Crick. This is an exciting 3 - 6 month opportunity to play a key role in the financial management and decision-making process of the business, supporting senior leadership with insightful financial analysis and reporting.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Perform month-end processes, including reconciliations, customer rebates, and reporting.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes, providing key insights to senior management.
  • Develop and enhance financial reporting tools and systems to streamline processes.
  • Support year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Manage payroll processes by collating relevant data for outsourced services, maintaining the pension portal, and handling P11Ds.
  • Mentor and oversee two junior finance staff, ensuring development and performance objectives are met.

What you'll need:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with 3+ PQE.
  • Proven experience in management accounting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel and financial systems
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Previous experience mentoring or managing junior staff is advantageous.
