?? Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and indirect sensory support to DPH/VI/MSI students to facilitate their access to the curriculum.
  • Utilize appropriate DPH/VI/MSI strategies, tools, and aids to enable and enhance learning opportunities.
  • Offer a range of support modalities, including BSL/SSE/Voiceover/Lip speaking, Manual or Electronic notetaking, Language Modification, Scribe, Braille, Assistive Technology, and Guiding.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement effective strategies for individual students.
  • Document student progress and adapt support strategies as needed.

�? Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with visual impairments and multi-sensory impairments preferred.
  • Proficiency in utilizing a variety of sensory support techniques and tools, including BSL, SSE, Voiceover, Braille, etc.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies and adaptive strategies for accessibility.
  • Sensitivity, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting students' learning and development.
